One of the questions we get most often: "Do you do botox?" Our answer is clear: no, we don't — and we'd advise against going to a beauty studio that does.
Why?
Botulinum toxin and filler injections are defined as medical procedures in Turkey. Only a physician may perform them. That isn't bureaucratic detail; it is a safety matter:
*Anatomical risk.* Vessels and nerves in the face run very close together. Injecting filler into a vessel (vascular occlusion) is rare but serious, and can lead to tissue loss and even loss of vision. It has to be managed within minutes, and managing it requires medication.
*Product safety.* Licensed product, cold chain and a traceable batch number are only possible within the medical supply chain.
*Complication management.* When something goes wrong, someone who can prescribe, administer and refer has to be in the room.
So what do we do?
Everything except injections. Facials, Hydrafacial, pigmentation care, skin renewal, medical-grade protocols, permanent makeup and brow-lash treatments. If you want your lips to look fuller, lip blush creates a visual difference by defining the contour — without adding volume.
If you do go ahead, check these
- Verify that the person injecting is a physician, and see the credentials.
- Make sure it takes place in a clinic setting.
- Ask to see the product box and batch number.
- Be wary of "campaign" pricing: a price below product cost raises the question of what the product is.
